Kenneth Vuylsteke

A 1980 graduate of Washington University School of Law, Kenneth Vuylsteke is a trial lawyer representing plaintiffs in civil litigation in Missouri and Illinois. He is the immediate past-President of the 1,400 member Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA).
Vuylsteke centers his practice on individuals and families who have suffered personal injury or death due to medical malpractice, product defects, nursing home abuse, electrocution, defective medical devices, chemical exposure and serious vehicular accidents.
In 1986, he was awarded the Lon O. Hocker Trial Lawyer Award by the Missouri Bar Foundation. In 2003, he received the President’s Award from the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys where he has served on the Board of Governors since 1988 and Executive Committee since 2005.
Vuylsteke has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. Louis University Law School and Washington University School of Law. In 2002, he was an instructor in the Humanities Department at Washington University Medical School. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, American Association for Justice, Lawyers Association of St. Louis and Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
He has chaired both the Medical – Legal Committee for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the HMO Health Law Committee for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys since 1998. He is currently on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice. He has also been rated by Super Lawyers six times since 2006.
In 2003 and 2004, Vuylsteke served as Commissioner on the Missouri Commission on Patient Safety. His articles on Medical Ethics have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Missouri Medicine and St. Louis Metropolitan Medicine.
